(suntimes.com) — Residents of Chicago Heights are directly tied to a major state investigation after Heights Crematory in town was shut down for mishandling about 100 people's remains. That case, along with decomposing bodies found at South Chicago Chapel and problems at Bohemian National Cemetery, has pushed Illinois to expand oversight and penalties for crematories, while police and state agencies continue criminal and regulatory investigations.
