• Park Forest registered sex offender arrested after allegedly approaching student at bus stop (fox32chicago.com) — A student in Park Forest–Chicago Heights School District 163 was approached at a local bus stop by a registered sex offender who allegedly made sexually inappropriate comments, but the child is safe and police quickly made an arrest. District leaders have alerted families and are urging parents to review safety precautions with children about avoiding strangers, seeking safe locations, and reporting any uncomfortable encounters immediately.
