• Clinton Fire Department extinguishes house fire (dailydispatch.com) — A Sunday afternoon house fire near Holiday Drive and Laurel Court in Clinton was quickly knocked down, and everyone inside made it out safely. Clinton firefighters, already out on a medical call at a local nursing home, arrived within two minutes and led an aggressive interior attack, with help from nearby departments and local law enforcement covering the scene and station.

• Illinois distributes $4 million to strengthen local food system (brownfieldagnews.com) — Illinois is sending nearly $4 million to farms, nonprofits, and food businesses to upgrade storage, processing, and distribution for locally grown products, with more funding planned for 2027. Among dozens of recipients statewide is Main Street Pastures in Clinton County, which secured nearly $75,000 to bolster its role in the regional food system.
