Newland (fredcdames.com) — Crest Hill residents are mourning the passing of 85-year-old Charles Herman Newland, a longtime local who built a nearly 50-year career with Caterpillar after his Army service. Family and friends can honor Chuck and his late wife Mae at a joint memorial service on September 12 in Shorewood, with burial to follow privately in Elwood.
