6 Middle School Students Hospitalized After Ingesting THC Gummies: Officials

ROUND LAKE, IL -- Parents of students at a local middle school where six were hospitalized Wednesday after ingesting THC gummies say the children may not have known they were given drugs.

Sources told WGN a student may have distributed the dummies during breakfast at Round Lake Middle School. Parents said they have been having talks with their middle school students since the incident, urging them not to take any candy from students as they may not know what it really is.

Meanwhile, the six students were taken by ambulances from the school Wednesday to hospitals and were all listed in stable condition, according to media reports.

Round Lake Heights police are investigating the incident.
