Man With 23 Convictions Charged Again In McHenry Co. Meth Case

MCHENRY, IL — A Wisconsin man with 23 criminal convictions is facing new felony drug charges after authorities said he sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer in McHenry, according to Shaw Local.

Anthony Buccieri Sr., 45, of Trevor, Wisconsin, is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine, a Class X felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Prosecutors said detectives arranged an undercover purchase on July 21 after receiving information from a confidential informant that Buccieri was selling large quantities of methamphetamine, and he was arrested after meeting investigators at a Walgreens in McHenry, Shaw Local reported.

McHenry County Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Lamb denied Buccieri's pretrial release, citing his lengthy criminal history, which includes 23 convictions between 2000 and 2026, along with pending and recent methamphetamine-related cases in Wisconsin, Lake County and McHenry County, according to Shaw Local.

Buccieri is due back in court Aug. 4.
