Leaders are asking Decatur residents for donations and volunteers to help with fundraising, cleaning, and mowing so after-school programs serving multiple Decatur schools can resume.

5. DMH Harvest Hustle Invites Macon and Moultrie County Residents to Get Moving in October (nowdecatur.com) — Decatur Memorial Hospital is launching a free Harvest Hustle wellness challenge in October, inviting Macon and Moultrie County residents to log 100 miles for a T-shirt and healthier habits. Participants can walk, run, cycle, hike, or roll anywhere, tracking miles through the Pacer app at their own pace, with local residents already crediting similar challenges for renewed fitness routines.
