Boys & Girls Club of Decatur closed for 2 months, calling on community to help (wandtv.com) — The Boys & Girls Club of Decatur has shut its doors for at least two months and needs to raise $750,000, including a $300,000 milestone to reopen for local kids. Leaders are asking Decatur residents for donations and volunteers to help with fundraising, cleaning, and mowing so after-school programs serving multiple Decatur schools can resume.

'Gravity: London's Iconic Leading Ladies' to Perform at Millikin University's Kirkland Fine Arts Center on September 19 (decaturtribune.com) — Decatur residents can catch three acclaimed West End performers when "Gravity: London's Iconic Leading Ladies" comes to Millikin University's Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The show features songs from blockbuster musicals, personal backstage stories, and discounted tickets for students, seniors, veterans, and Millikin community members through the Kirkland ticket office.
   

5. DMH Harvest Hustle Invites Macon and Moultrie County Residents to Get Moving in October (nowdecatur.com) — Decatur Memorial Hospital is launching a free Harvest Hustle wellness challenge in October, inviting Macon and Moultrie County residents to log 100 miles for a T-shirt and healthier habits. Participants can walk, run, cycle, hike, or roll anywhere, tracking miles through the Pacer app at their own pace, with local residents already crediting similar challenges for renewed fitness routines.
