• Lowest midgrade gas price in Macon County available at $4.25 per gallon in week ending Sept. 19 (maconreporter.com) — Drivers in Decatur and across Macon County are seeing midgrade gas prices that recently ranged from a low of $4.25 per gallon at one county station to around $4.66 in Decatur, according to GasBuddy reports for the week ending Sept. 19. The county's average midgrade price was $5.15, slightly below the statewide average of $5.26. Analysts say global tensions and refinery issues continue to drive volatility.
   

• Millikin football wins 31-27 thriller over North Park (herald-review.com) — Millikin University football fans in Decatur saw a dramatic home win as the Big Blue rallied late to beat North Park 31-27, capped by a go-ahead touchdown in the final minute. Standout performances included over 300 passing yards from quarterback Sylas Gomez and a key interception by Latrell Hannon. The team now sits at 2-2 and hosts Carroll for homecoming on October 3.
