Home Damaged In Burglary, 2 DUI Arrests: Riverwoods Police Blotter

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from Riverwoods Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

700 block of Juneberry Road — At 8:27 a.m. Sept. 16, police responded to a report of a residential burglary and criminal damage to property that occurred sometime between August and the report date.

While the resident was away, police said an unknown person or persons broke several glass windows and doors, entered the home and damaged items inside. The incident remains under investigation.

DUI, CRASH INVESTIGATION

Yevhen Myronenko, 35, of Gurnee, was arrested following a two-vehicle injury crash at 3 a.m. Sept. 12, at Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Road.

Police said Myronenko was the at-fault driver and charged him with disobeying a red light, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and DUI-alcohol.

He was processed, charged and released and is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Oct. 15, at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

DUI

Nikolas K. Kaiteris, 22, of Barrington, was arrested following a traffic stop at 3:18 a.m. Sept. 13, near Deerfield and Saunders roads.

Police charged Kaiteris with speeding and DUI-alcohol.

He was processed, charged and released and is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Oct. 15, at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
