Wednesday’s severe storms also knocked out power to more than 400 DeKalb County residents, though the rider declined hospital treatment and rode away.

Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois announces new executive director (shawlocal.com) — DeKalb County residents who rely on Voluntary Action Center services will soon see new leadership, as Rick Burchell becomes executive director on July 1, 2026.
