A developer is pushing to build a dual-lane Dutch Bros Coffee drive-thru at Ogden & Saratoga Ave. The site plan reveals a major traffic safety hazard for our neighborhood and schools.

• The Gridlock: The main exit sits directly next to the Saratoga traffic light. Red lights will trap cars in the lanes, freezing the property.
• The Shortcut: Frustrated commuters will use Linscott Ave and the connecting alley as a high-speed racetrack shortcut to bypass the backup to enter back onto Saratoga.
• The Danger: This shortcut racetrack dumps traffic directly onto Saratoga past the dentist office—the official Herrick Middle School bus stop and parent drop-off zone, and a major walking route for DGN students.

Naperville put an indefinite hold on their Dutch Bros proposal because the traffic gridlock was too dangerous—and theirs was inside a giant shopping center!
