• Fireworks Cause Thousands In Damage To O'Neill Middle School (patch.com) — Residents in Downers Grove are being urged to come forward with information after fireworks were set off on the roof of O'Neill Middle School, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage and roof leaks. Police say the vandalism happened sometime between Aug. 11 and Sept. 2, and the Downers Grove Police Department is asking anyone who knows more to call their non-emergency line.
