• Ranalli's Pushes Back Projected Opening Date For Downers Grove Location (patch.com) — Downers Grove pizza fans will need to hang on a bit longer, as Ranalli's has delayed the opening of its first suburban location at 5200 Main St. to early 2027. The Chicago-based chain now aims for a January debut, promising tavern-style thin crust, pan pizzas, vegetarian options, and gluten-free crusts when doors finally open.
   

• Glenbard South, Montini volleyball get wins: Wednesday's Suburban Life sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — Downers Grove North's girls volleyball team opened strong at Wheaton North's Blue and Gold Invitational, winning both pool matches over Glenbard East and Kaneland. The roundup also highlights wins by Glenbard South and Montini volleyball and Glenbard East girls tennis, giving local fans a quick snapshot of early-season performances across nearby schools.
   

• Midwestern University and University of Iowa Establish New Articulation Agreement (midwestern.edu) — Midwestern University's Downers Grove campus is part of a new articulation agreement with the University of Iowa that guarantees interviews or even acceptance for qualified students into several health sciences programs starting in Fall 2027. Local students eyeing osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, dental, optometry, veterinary, or nurse anesthesia tracks could see a clearer, more structured path into these competitive graduate programs.
