• High School Healthcare Bootcamps (illinoistimes.com) — High school juniors and seniors can apply now for a free, one-day Healthcare Bootcamp at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham on June 18. The program offers job shadowing, hands-on skills sessions, and direct conversations with HSHS employment specialists. Applications are due May 2, and students will be notified of selection by May 14.

Baseball - Effingham's News and Sports Leader, 979XFM and KJ Country 102.3 (thexradio.com) — Effingham High School’s Hearts baseball team dropped an 8–3 home decision to Apollo Conference rival Mount Zion, despite a big night from Andrew Wagoner, who drove in all three runs.
