Elmhurst Nabs 4 Cooking, Selling Food: Police

In another case, a dealership reported 46 car burglaries, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Food truck

  • Four Hammond, Indiana, men were cited on charges of operating a mobile food unit without a license about 9 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of South York Street. Police said the men were cooking and selling food in the private parking lot at 1042 S. York St., which is for W3Body, A Women's Training Gym. The men ranged in age from 22 to 44. They were released.

Car burglaries

  • Wilkins Mazda, 740 N. York St., told police that 46 cars were broken into and their airbags removed Thursday. An investigation is pending.

Thefts

  • Catalytic converters were stolen from two trucks about 5:30 a.m. Thursday at Enterprise Truck Rental, 896 N. York St. An investigation is pending.

Abandoned bike

  • A bicycle was found abandoned about 11 a.m. Friday at Armitage and Addison avenues. The bike was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
