Elmhurst Trespass Suspect Targets Businesses On Same Block: Cops
In all three cases, the man had already been given no-trespassing notices, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a repeat trespassing suspect, theft, a car burglary, unlicensed solicitors and a DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Repeat trespassing suspect
- A 60-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 2 a.m. Tuesday at Dan Wangler Builders, 138 W. Park Ave., on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct. Police said he was seen urinating there. About 9:30 p.m. that same day, he was charged with trespassing at Kimmer's Ice Cream, 110 W. Park Ave. Three days earlier, he was charged with trespassing at Brewpoint Coffee, 124 W. Park Ave. The businesses are close to each other. He had been previously issued no-trespassing notices for each of the businesses, which are close to each other. He was released each time.
Theft

- Someone stole money from a wallet in a secured locker about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at LA Fitness, 620 N. York St. An investigation is pending.
- Two people stole a camping chair and tools about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ace Hardware, 1028 S. York St. An investigation is pending.
Car burglary
- Someone burglarized an unlocked car between July 24 and July 26 in the 700 block of North York Street. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

- A 20-year-old Plainfield man was cited about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chatham Avenue and Adams Street on a charge of soliciting without a permit.
- A 21-year-old Paxton, Massachusetts, man was cited about 8 p.m. Wednesday at Third and Indiana streets on a charge of soliciting without a permit.
Tobacco at park
- A 19-year-old Lake Zurich man and an 18-year-old Villa Park woman were cited about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Berens Park on Oaklawn Avenue on charges of tobacco possession by minors. The man was also cited on a charge of possessing open alcohol. They were released.
Alcohol in public
- A 55-year-old Bensenville man was cited about 3 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of alcohol possession in public. The incident occurred in the 200 block of East Butterfield Road. The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
DUI
- A 27-year-old Oswego woman was arrested shortly after midnight Wednesday at York Street and Brush Hill Road on charges of DUI, improper window tints and expired registration. She was taken to the police station and then released.
