Unhitched Train Blocks Elmhurst Crossings: Police
Three local crossings were shut down for hours.

ELMHURST, IL – Two freight train cars traveling through Elmhurst early Monday afternoon unhitched, blocking local crossings, police said.
The stopped freight train affected the crossings at West, Maple and Addison avenues, according to a police news release.
The West crossing opened five hours later, while the other two did so about an hour earlier.
