Giant Pop-Up Sale Of Used Kids' Clothing, Toys Returns To Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — Shoppers looking to stretch their budget on some gently used kids' clothing and other items will have plenty to browse at a massive pop-up sale in Frankfort Oct. 2–4.

The Kid's Closet Connection of Will County's fall sale, featuring more than 40,000 children's items tagged at 60 to 90 percent off retail price, comes to Roma Sports Club, 9115 Roma Ct.

"Seriously—this is one of those 'fill your cart for way less' kind of events," organizers said. "Clothes, toys, gear, baby items & more—all under one roof. All from local families just like yours."

Items will span from birth through teen years. Inventory will include clothes, shoes, sports equipment, electronics, furniture, books, toys, games, maternity items, car seats, strollers, bikes, and more, the organizers shared. A "mom and dad" corner will feature winter coats for adults.

More than 200 local families have consigned tens of thousands of items with the sale's new owner, Alyssa Ptak, of Manhattan. Ptak is a mom of five who "truly understands how fast kids grow and how quickly their needs change," she said in her bio.

Ptak said she is married to her high school sweetheart David, and the two lived the military life for 10 years.

"Those years taught me so much about flexibility, resilience, and the importance of community—values that I carry with me into everything I do today.

"Now that we've put down roots in Manhattan, I'm excited to bring Kids Closet Connection to our local families. My goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, organized and helpful—a place where you can shop, sell and connect with confidence. I know firsthand how meaningful it is to save money while still getting great quality for your kids, and I'm passionate about helping other families do the same."

Admission to the sale is free (and kids are welcome with supervision) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Hours are:

• Friday, Oct. 2: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 3: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct. 4: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Also "Half-price Day," with most items marked down.)
