• L-Way East students caught on video making racial slurs at football game will leave school voluntarily (shawlocal.com) — Five Lincoln-Way East students involved in racist taunts at a Homewood-Flossmoor football game will no longer attend the Frankfort high school after their families chose voluntary withdrawal over expulsion. District 210 leaders and community members are now debating whether this consequence is strong enough and are exploring new racial equity training and climate surveys to address broader concerns about racism in local schools.
