New Nordstrom Rack Store Coming To IL

The luxury department store Nordstrom is opening a wave of new stores this fall, including one in Illinois.

The 25 new and future Nordstrom Rack stores are located in 15 states. Nordstrom Rack is the company’s off-price retail and offers customers up to 70 percent off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom, according to the company’s website.

In Illinois, a Nordstrom Rack store is set to open at Bloomingdale Court, 362 W. Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale. The Bloomingdale store will open its doors Oct. 22.

Nordstrom Rack is marking the openings with pre-opening shopping parties with discounts of up to 70 percent and grand-opening celebrations offering a chance at a $1,000 store gift certificate.

The Bloomingdale Court store will host a pre-opening shopping party Thursday morning. As of Tuesday, the party had reached capacity. Bloomingdale Court's grand opening celebration will take place Oct. 22.

As shoppers increasingly prioritize value on fashion and home items, Nordstrom Rack remains central to the retailer’s overall growth strategy, the company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Even amidst broader challenges facing department stores, the Rack chain has maintained consistent momentum, expanding into vibrant shopping centers and suburban communities.

Nordstrom currently operates more than 350 flagship, Nordstrom Local and Nordstrom Rack stores.
