• The Salvation Army unveils new emergency response canteen in McHenry County to serve first responders, survivors in crisis (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Harvard residents will now benefit from a new Salvation Army emergency response canteen that can serve hundreds of meals a day at major incidents across McHenry County. Based in Crystal Lake, the nearly $200,000 vehicle is already supporting first responders at fires and other emergencies, and Harvard leaders joined other area dignitaries to celebrate its launch.
