• Survey Finds still Negative Rural Banker Economic Outlook (profarmer.com) — Havana’s own Havana National Bank CEO says the ag-driven local economy is “suffering,” as a new multi-state survey shows rural bankers remain pessimistic about farm income and small-town business conditions. The Rural Mainstreet Index stayed below growth-neutral for a third straight month, with weak grain prices, higher input costs, and rising gas prices squeezing farmers and the Main Street businesses that depend on them.
