Novel and Lively “L'Chaim & Lagers” Fundraising Event Held in April

The “L’Chaim and Lagers” fundraising event, hosted at Half Day Brewing Company in Lincolnshire on April 18, 2026, was a tremendous success, raising significant support for Congregation Or Shalom while bringing the community together for an evening of celebration and generosity.

With this year’s “Diamonds and Denim” theme, guests arrived in a creative blend of sparkle and casual style, setting the tone for a festive yet welcoming atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed food and signature cocktails, along with a lively silent auction and reverse raffle that added to the evening’s energy.

The event also served as an opportunity to celebrate the many volunteer leaders whose time, talent, and dedication help sustain and strengthen the Or Shalom community.

A highlight of the program was a meaningful Havdalah service led by Rabbi Ari Margolis and Cantor Laurie Akers, adding a spiritual dimension that reflected the congregation’s focus on connection and community. Support from events like this makes it possible for Congregation Or Shalom to continue offering meaningful Jewish experiences, from worship and learning to year-round opportunities for connection.
