Come help pack 186,000 meals for starving children around the globe during this North Sub MobilePack where North Sub Church of Deerfield will partner with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). 1,000 volunteers are needed to fill 9 different packing shifts over the weekend of 4/24/26 - 4/26/26. &nbsp;&nbsp;The MobilePack events are a great feel-good way to make an impact on hunger in two hours. &nbsp;All ages 5 and up are welcome so it's great for families, community groups, businesses, or individuals. &nbsp;There are sit-down jobs available so all can join. &nbsp;During the MobilePack event, the various jobs could including labelling the food packs, scooping the ingredients into the packs, weighing them, sealing them, boxing them or helping supply the packing stations with the bulk ingredients. &nbsp;No experience is necessary and it's super fun and easy. All proceeds from this special night will go towards supporting scholarships for current and future students, helping to make music education accessible to all.&nbsp; Every year we invest $10-15k in tuition support to make sure students can experience the joy of music, community, and belonging; regardless of financial circumstances. Our Annual Staff Show helps support this mission, and this year, it feels more meaningful than ever to provide a safe and inclusive space for young musicians to express themselves!

We teach guitar, keyboard, drums,&nbsp;bass guitar, voice/vocals, songwriting, for all levels. We also offer Summer Music Camps and host Events and Birthday Parties.&nbsp;At School of Rock, students can perform live shows and develop their musical ability in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Arts Alive! ART EXPO is Back by popular demand! “This is the best art event I have ever attended!” “Bring it back every year!”&nbsp;Deerfield Resident On Saturday April 25th, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM, the entire community is invited to attend the 2nd biennial &nbsp;“Art Expo Open House” in the cafeteria and surrounding areas. Over 30 professional artists and AP Fine Arts Students will be presenting their work, demonstrating their techniques, and allowing the public to get hands-on with art projects. In addition, pop-up performances will run throughout the day and include live music, a pop up dance party, drum circles, shadow puppets, giant wandering puppets, and student group performances. It's a veritable “arts-a-palooza”! Weavers, painters, ceramists, potters, wood workers, silversmiths, jewelry makers, candle makers, henna artists, encaustic artists, illustrators, screen printers, diary box makers, mosaic makers, Native American artists, silk painters, a special effects makeup artist and so much more!&nbsp;Come make art! Club Pickle & Padel

Registration is now open for College Bound Opportunities' Dinks for Degrees Pickleball tournament and fundraiser. The tournament will be held on May 3, 2026 at Club Pickle &amp;Padel at 2205 Skokie Valley Rd. in Highland Park, IL. Events include women's doubles and men's doubles in skill levels from 3.0-4.5. The entry fee is $100 per person and players can register at CBO4Success.org. Funds raised will provide under-resourced College Bound Opportunities (CBO) Scholars in the northern suburbs with services to help them get into college, succeed there, and graduate. These services include tutoring, assistance with college financial aid and scholarship applications, and campus visits. While in college, Scholars receive persistence support, keeping them on-track academically. Additional services include career preparation workshops and an annual internship fair. And it works! 98% of CBO Scholars graduate college within 4 years. After 20 years, CBO now has more than 300 alumni. College Bound Opportunities mentors, empowers &amp; inspires low-income, first-generation Scholars to overcome barriers, graduate college and achieve success in life. CBO partners with six suburban high schools: Buffalo Grove High School, Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep, Deerfield High School, Highland Park High School, Lake Forest High School and Vernon Hills High School.
