• After decades, Leona Altman cuts her last head of hair on 63rd Street (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — A beloved stylist who has spent 60 years doing hair on Chicago's Southwest Side is ending her Saturday shifts on 63rd Street but will keep serving clients at Wonder Time in Homer Glen, where she's worked and lived for 15 years. Some longtime customers may follow her to the Homer Glen salon as she decides how long to keep working approaching age 80.
