• Shirley Anne Sobol (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — Longtime Hometown resident Shirley Anne Sobol, a former alderman candidate and beloved Hometown Christian Church teacher, has passed away at 90. Friends and neighbors can pay their respects at visitation in Palos Hills on August 10 and a committal service in Oakbrook Terrace on August 11, with her family encouraging memorial donations to any preferred charity.
