• South Suburban PADS celebrates its grand opening with government officials (thelansingjournal.org) — A major homelessness services nonprofit has officially opened its expanded facility on 175th Street in Homewood, bringing more shelter beds and support programs closer to local residents. Local, county, state and federal officials joined the ribbon-cutting, highlighting recent storm-related housing needs and urging Homewood residents to support SSPADS, including through optional donations on their water bills.
