• Illinois Senate passes e-bike and e-scooter safety bill to regulate fast-growing devices (macon.com) — Itasca is highlighted as one of several suburbs that already restrict e-bike and e-scooter use by age, and those local rules may soon be superseded. The Illinois Senate has unanimously passed a statewide bill setting speed limits, minimum age 16, and licensing and registration rules for faster e-bikes and similar devices, which now heads to the House.
