Paddle Skills Refresher At Lake Chaminwood
Tweak your paddling technique at a Paddle Skills Refresher program being offered by the Forest Preserve District of Will County at Lake Chaminwood Preserve.
The program is set for 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 24. Registration is required by Thursday, July 23: 815-722-9470. The cost is $35 per person and the program is for ages 18 or older.
The program is taught by American Canoe Association-certified instructors who will help you fine tune basic strokes and improve your overall form.
Previous kayaking experience is required as instruction will focus on advancing existing paddling skills. Be sure to wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a water bottle.
Lake Chaminwood has an accessible launch and can be reached by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
