Saturday's Joliet No Kings Rally demonstration stretched from the Burger King all the way to the Wendy's restaurant along Plainfield Road.

JOLIET, IL — People from all over the Joliet area came out in droves, carrying signs and wearing homemade costumes as they participated in Saturday's No Kings Get Out The Vote demonstration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the entrance to the Louis Joliet Mall. Everyone gathered along Plainfield Road/Route 30 and the number of cars and trucks that honked in agreement with their signs was constant.

"This is a peaceful, patriotic, family friendly rally, to express your dissatisfaction with the way things are now, Trump, his administration, and, turn that dissatisfaction into Democratic Votes, on November 3rd or Early Voting starting, October 17th," organizer John Dzak had told Joliet Patch weeks before the event. "Attend! Volunteer! Vote Early!! Wear bright yellow! Bring a poster with your feelings about Trump!! Let's restore checks and balance and accountability to our government!!
