More Violent Behavior At McDonald's Restaurant On West Jefferson Street As Joliet Police Make Arrest: Cops

JOLIET, IL — For the second time in less than a week, Joliet Police responded to the McDonald's restaurant at the corner of West Jefferson Street and Woodlawn Avenue and officers were going there for hamburgers and French fries.

This week, they arrested 47-year-old Chicagoan Rondrae Williams on charges of domestic battery.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 10:32 p.m. on Tuesday, the officers responded to the McDonald’s at 1515 Jefferson St. for a reported domestic disturbance.

English said Williams had allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face several times while they were seated in a vehicle in the parking lot. According to police, officers observed visible injuries to the victim and took Williams into custody without incident.

Williams was charged with domestic battery, processed at the Joliet Police Department, and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. He remained in the jail on Friday, indicating that his SAFE-T Act hearing did not go in his favor.
