Patricia Liccardi, age 79, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 30, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Elmer and Beatrice Foster in Coal Hill, Tennessee.

For 26 years, she proudly worked at Walmart, a place that became so much more than just a job to her. She truly loved going to work and treasured the many friendships she made along the way. Her coworkers were not simply coworkers—they became family. The customers she came to know throughout the years also held a special place in her heart. She loved seeing familiar faces, sharing conversations, helping others, and being part of their lives. Walmart was a very important part of her life, and the friendships and memories she made meant more to her than words could ever express.

In her younger years, she had a great love for dancing and was very talented, winning numerous dance competitions over the years. She also enjoyed bowling and was an active part of several bowling leagues, even serving as secretary for a few of them. These were more than hobbies to her - they brought her joy, friendship, laughter, and many treasured memories throughout her life.

She was a truly kind and generous soul who would give you anything you needed, even her very last penny, if she thought it could help. She had a heart for others and was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or simply be there when someone needed her. At the same time, she never wanted to feel like a burden to anyone and rarely asked for help herself. She was truly one of a kind, and the love, kindness, and selflessness she gave so freely will never be forgotten.

Patricia is survived by her son, Mark (Deby) Phipps; daughters, Dawn (Andrew) Hartman and Antoinette Liccardi; her siblings, Windel (Jeannie), Mike (Brenda), and Joann (Karen Jacobson).She loved all her seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Doug Phipps, and second husband John Liccardi; her parents, Elmer and Beatrice Foster; and her two brothers, Jack and David Foster.

Visitation for Patricia Liccardi will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
