Troublemaker At Charleys Cheesesteaks, Burger King Struggles With Joliet Police During His Arrest: English

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department made a Sunday afternoon arrest of a 35-year-old man from our community following back-to-back disturbances along Larkin Avenue at the Charleys Cheesesteaks and then over at Burger King.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 2:28 p.m. on Sunday, the officers responded to the 1800 block of West Jefferson Street for a report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located Kevin Pacey, who appeared to be intoxicated, English noted.

"The investigation determined that Pacey allegedly became involved in a disturbance with staff inside Charley's Cheesesteaks and refused multiple requests to leave the business," English relayed. "After leaving, Pacey crossed to Burger King, where employees also requested that he leave the property."

English pointed out how it is alleged that Pacey continued to refuse lawful commands to leave and remained on the property. When officers attempted to take him into custody, Pacey initially resisted by refusing to be handcuffed before being taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was charged with criminal trespass and resisting a peace officer.

In the end, Pacey was processed and released on a Notice
to Appear in court.

This marks at least the second time Joliet police have arrested Pacey this year. They booked him into the Will County Jail for two days in April as part of temporary police hold for the authorities in DuPage County.
