'Uwanted Subject' At On The Rocks Scuffles With Security Staff, Joliet Police Make Arrest: Police

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police officers responded to the On The Rocks establishment at 1500 Essington Road over the weekend to make an arrest of someone accused of causing trouble.

According to the arrest reports supplied by this week's Joliet police spokesman Tizoc Landeros, Brian Krupa, 36, was arrested, booked, and released on a notice to appear on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer and
criminal trespass.

It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Landeros said Joliet officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Essington for a report of an unwanted subject who was attempting to fight with security personnel.

Upon arrival, officers observed security personnel holding Krupa on the ground outside the establishment.

Officers detained Krupa without incident. Landeros said Krupa had been inside the establishment provoking other customers and was asked to leave by security. Krupa was escorted from the establishment but refused to leave the property.

"Security personnel attempted to assist Krupa with arranging transportation through a rideshare service; however, he became uncooperative and belligerent. Krupa also attempted to start a physical altercation," Landeros said.

Security requested that Krupa be trespassed from the property.
Krupa was taken into custody and transported to the Joliet Police Booking area, the arrest report noted.

While in the booking area, Krupa remained uncooperative and belligerent. As an officer attempted to search Krupa, he turned toward the officer and lunged at him, striking the officer in the chest with his shoulder, the arrest report showed.

Officers managed to regain control of Krupa, who was processed and released on a notice to appear. The Joliet police arrest logs listed Krupa as living in Chicago.
