• Lansing Village Board accepts Thornton Township funds, OKs fire station expansion (thelansingjournal.org) — Lansing’s Village Board has accepted new Thornton Township funds for street work and approved a major expansion of Fire Station 31, along with several infrastructure contracts. Trustees also backed TIF support for redeveloping 3437 Ridge Road, authorized a Flock camera at Red Roof Inn, and advanced sewer cleaning and Chicago Avenue reconstruction projects.
