• Four Lemont Students Named National Merit Commended Students (patch.com) — Lemont residents can celebrate four Lemont High School seniors who were named National Merit Commended Students for their strong 2025 PSAT/NMSQT scores. Adam Dunkin, Benjamin Petri, Ishan Samani and Haley Young ranked among the top five percent of U.S. juniors in the Class of 2027, reflecting well on both the students and the local school.
   

• Illinois American Water customers can speak out against proposed rate hike at Bolingbrook hearing Wednesday (shawlocal.com) — Illinois American Water customers in Lemont could see bills rise about $10 a month for water and $23 for wastewater under a proposed $129 million rate hike. Residents can speak at an Illinois Commerce Commission hearing in Bolingbrook on Sept. 16 or submit comments online or by phone before regulators rule later this year.
