Residents are invited to explore the beauty and diversity of local trees during a guided tour of Cook Park led by garden club president and University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Sue Hazelwood. Known for her knowledge and enthusiasm, Hazelwood will highlight distinctive trees throughout the park, offering insights into their characteristics, history, and role in the community’s landscape.

The tours will take place on Saturday, April 25, with sessions at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Each tour is limited to 14 participants to ensure an engaging, up-close experience. Attendees will meet on the steps of the Ansel B. Cook House before setting out on this informative and enjoyable walk through one of Libertyville’s most cherished green spaces.
