• Lake Zurich man charged after driving onto shoulder, crashing into parked cars, leaving 2 pedestrians seriously injured near Gurnee (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Emergency crews from Libertyville helped respond after a serious three-car crash on I-94 near Gurnee left two pedestrians badly hurt and sent three people to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. State police say a Lake Zurich driver veered onto the shoulder and hit two parked cars that had stopped to deal with a gas issue, closing westbound lanes for several hours while investigators worked the scene.
