Coroner IDs Motorcyclist Killed In Mettawa Crash
Michael Swidrak, 43, died from injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash near Route 60 and St. Mary's Road, authorities said.
METTAWA, IL — A 43-year-old Mundelein man was killed Monday night in a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Mettawa, authorities said.
The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed in the collision, which happened at about 8:50 p.m. Monday near Route 60 and St. Mary's Road, as Michael Swidrak, 43, of Mundelein. Swidrak was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show he died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, according to the coroner's office.

The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Team.
