• Nomination Petition Packets Available As Seats Open For Village Trustee, Clerk In Lisle (patch.com) — Lisle residents now have the chance to pick up nomination petition packets for three open village trustee seats and the village clerk position, all on the ballot April 6, 2027. Packets are available at Lisle Village Hall, and prospective candidates can begin collecting signatures immediately, with filing scheduled for mid-November.
   

• DNR asks for help identifying boat seen before fatal Fox River crash (nbcchicago.com) — A Lisle resident has been indicted on first-degree murder and DUI-related charges after a high-speed boat collision on the Fox River in McHenry County that killed a 48-year-old woman and injured her fiancé. Investigators are asking the public to help identify another boat seen nearby that may hold key witness information, though its occupants are not suspected of causing the crash.
