• Big hits and big wins define successful Moraine Valley softball season (patch.com) — Moraine Valley Community College softball wrapped up a strong 26-19 season, and Lockport’s own Jill Zodrow earned All-Conference first team honors as the Cyclones’ “no fly-zone queen” in the outfield. With several hitters posting big numbers and a deep pitching staff, the team pushed into the region playoffs and now turns to recruiting while many freshmen plan to return.
