• Lockport takes first steps towards improving railroad crosswalk at 11th Street (shawlocal.com) — Lockport is moving ahead with plans to upgrade the 11th Street railroad crossing, including safer, ADA-compliant pedestrian access and better lighting. The $1.2 million project, partly funded by the state, will add sidewalks to nearby parking, decorative fencing between 10th and 11th streets, and resurfacing of 11th Street, with construction expected to start in fall 2027.
