• Semi-tractor-trailer truck rolls over and spills over 2,500 gallons of paint Long Grove (dailydispatch.com) — A semi-truck rollover in Long Grove spilled more than 2,500 gallons of paint and shut down Route 53 at Lake Cook Road for about five hours Wednesday. Long Grove and neighboring fire departments, along with Illinois State Police, responded, confirmed the driver was out safely, and investigated whether the spilled load was hazardous. 
• No More ‘Wrong Library' For Buffalo Grove Residents (journal-topics.com) — A new partnership between Vernon Area and Indian Trails library districts makes it easier for nearby residents to get a card, and Long Grove is within Vernon Area’s service territory. Locals who work or do business around Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire may benefit from simpler registration and shared systems, reducing confusion over which library they can use.
