• Nearly $5M boosts McHenry County sites for business growth (rrstar.com) — Marengo is receiving a $4.6 million state grant to extend water and sewer lines to the I-90 and Illinois 23 interchange, completing the Route 23 Utility Extension Project and paving the way for major new development. City leaders say the project could transform Marengo’s long-term economic health by attracting industrial, commercial, and residential growth, while McHenry also receives a smaller planning grant for site readiness.
