• Hanson Recognizes Rail Safety Week and Encourages Year-Round Rail Safety Practices (ilhousedems.com) — State Rep. Matt Hanson of Montgomery is urging residents to use Rail Safety Week, Sept. 21–27, to brush up on safe behavior around trains and crossings. He recently passed a law requiring Illinois school districts to include rail safety information in student handbooks, and he's reminding Montgomery families to always expect a train and follow crossing signals.
