• 6th Annual Naperville Irish Fest Brings 2 Days Of Live Music, Dancing, Hurling, More (patch.com) — Naperville residents can celebrate Irish culture at the 6th Annual Naperville Irish Fest in Central Park on Sept. 18 and 19, featuring live bands, Irish dance performances, and hurling demonstrations. Quigley's Irish Pub will also host special Guinness and Irish whiskey tastings, giving locals multiple ways to enjoy the weekend festivities.
   

• Local Event: Our Voices, Our Minds: Bipoc Youth Navigating Discrimination In Education (patch.com) — A free community event at North Central College in Naperville on Sept. 23 will bring BIPOC youth, families, educators, and mental health professionals together to discuss discrimination in education. Attendees can join a panel discussion, explore a resource fair, enjoy entertainment and food, and access Spanish interpretation, all aimed at supporting local students' well-being and voices.
   

• Naperville-based nonprofit student film to be shown at UN climate conference (chicagotribune.com) — A Naperville-based nonprofit, Accelerate Climate Solutions, worked with local students from Naperville and Aurora and peers in the Solomon Islands to create a short climate-change documentary headed to the 2026 UN Climate Change Conference. The film, also added to the UN Youth Climate Report, showcases local air and water quality research and how frontline communities abroad are already adapting to rising seas and heat.
