Bonci Pizza Now Open In Naperville (patch.com) — Naperville food lovers can now try Bonci Pizza's famed Roman-style pies at its new location on East Chicago Avenue, the brand's first outside Chicago or Rome. The shop's grand opening on Aug. 28 will showcase a rotating selection of up to 15 pizzas made with seasonal ingredients and long-risen dough, giving downtown diners an ever-changing menu of inventive flavors.
   

2. 4 Seats Available On Naperville City Council In 2027 Consolidated Election (patch.com) — Naperville residents interested in shaping city policy will have four city council seats to vie for in the 2027 Consolidated Election, with petition packets now available at the municipal center. Prospective candidates must meet residency and voter requirements, file petitions in October, and prepare for a February primary ahead of the April 6 election.
   

3. Naperville 203 officials plan changes to student services program (nctv17.org) — Naperville District 203 is preparing significant changes to student services for IEP students starting in the 2027-28 school year, following a multi-year analysis. Officials highlighted a new specialized program playbook, staff feedback on burnout and support, and plans to gather more parent and community input so services better match students' individual needs and family expectations.
   

4. Yorkville delays next water rate increase again; federal $170 loan for Lake Michigan Project moving forward (shawlocal.com) — A massive Lake Michigan water project that starts with new mains on Book Road in Naperville will eventually send pricier water to Yorkville, Oswego, and Montgomery. Yorkville officials just postponed the next steep water rate hike while final construction bids and a key $170 million federal loan are finalized, but long-term increases are still planned through 2065 to pay for the regional system.
   

5. Waubonsie Valley girls golf swings past Naperville North (nctv17.org) — Waubonsie Valley edged Naperville North in a girls golf matchup at Springbrook, with strong rounds from Huskies like Mia Kuruvilla and Warriors standouts including Mina Shyam and Siya Sohal.
