Silver Cross Hospital Honors J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal with 2026 Corporate Citizen Award
Award to be presented at the Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic on June 22

Silver Cross Hospital and the Silver Cross Foundation are proud to announce J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. as the recipient of the 2026 Silver Cross Corporate Citizen Award, recognizing the company’s long‑standing commitment to community service, civic leadership and philanthropic support across the region.
The award will be presented during the 35th Annual Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic, presented by Superior Air‑Ground Ambulance Service and Phamily on June 22, 2026, at Crystal Tree Golf & Country Club in Orland Park. Proceeds from the event support the “OR of the Future” initiative at Silver Cross Hospital – an $8.5 million investment to modernize 11 operating rooms with advanced technology, enhanced integration and calming environments designed to improve patient outcomes.
A third‑generation, Joliet‑based contractor, J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal is widely respected for its industry leadership and deep dedication to the communities it serves. Members of the Adler team have held key leadership positions in national and regional roofing associations, reflecting a long-standing commitment to advancing the profession and giving back. Chris Adler, Owner and President, has served in numerous community leadership roles, including Chair of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce, the Guardian Angels Boards and Treasurer of Will County Habitat for Humanity. The company supports a broad range of charitable organizations, including Joliet Catholic Academy, Mutual Ground, Chicago Community Trust, Midwestern University Foundation, Saint Xavier University, Catholic Charities and the Will County Center for Community Concerns.

For more than two decades, Adler Roofing has been a dedicated supporter of Silver Cross, contributing to major initiatives such as the Silver Cross Charity Golf Classic, Silver Social, and the Capital Campaign to build Silver Cross’ replacement hospital in New Lenox. As a Silver Cross Corporate Philanthropy Partner, the company also provided meals to hospital staff during the COVID‑19 pandemic – a gesture reflecting both generosity and gratitude for frontline caregivers.

The Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic has become a signature summer event benefiting the Hospital. While golf participation is nearly sold out, pickleball registration and sponsorship opportunities remain available, offering both competitive play and meaningful community engagement. The day includes a pickleball tournament, cocktail reception, dinner and awards presentation recognizing J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal as Corporate Citizen of the Year. All proceeds from the Classic stay right in the community – supporting lifesaving technology and ensuring advanced care close to home.
