• PHOTOS: Andy Grammer Delights Thousands With 'Big Stupid Heart' Tour In New Lenox (patch.com) — New Lenox residents packed the Performing Arts Pavilion and surrounding Veterans Parkway as Andy Grammer finally brought his "Big Stupid Heart" tour to town after last year's rainout. More than 3,000 tickets were sold for the Summer Concert Series show, with families enjoying openers Raynes and Walk Off The Earth before Grammer performed hits like "Honey, I'm Good" and "Keep Your Head Up."

• Man, 22, Spat in Face Of Silver Cross Hospital Security Guard, Charged With Battery: New Lenox PD (patch.com) — Police in New Lenox responded to Silver Cross Hospital after a security guard reported that a 22-year-old patient spat in his face while trying to leave the emergency room without authorization. Officers cited the Matteson man for battery but did not take him into custody because he still required medical care.
