Stop by the museum for our third Sunday open house.   Wedding dresses from the 1800’s to the 1950’s are still on display as we prepare for our next exhibit: Celebrating 100 Years of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce.
The museum is open the third Sunday of each month 1pm-4pm and during the week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am – 3pm.

Join us for a political action, protest, education &amp; postcards community meeting hosted by Indivisible Niles - Maine Township. Monthly membership meeting focused on building a community of like-minded individuals. Please bring stamps if you can. Also on the agenda are the Music for Democracy concert on October 11th in Elk Grove Village and the No Kings Vote Early event on October 17th. We will also discuss possible actions while Trump is in town for the PGA tour next week.

St. Peter’s UCC’s HUGE Annual Rummage and Bake Sale Returns for its 33rd Year! 
Our gym is already stocked full of items for children (including clothing and toys), housewares, decorations, books, music, luggage, linens, art, collectibles, sporting goods, tools, games, and tons of men’s and women’s clothing. Our “Boutique Area” is filled with high-end items for the collectors out there. Please note - gold and precious gemstones are not available for sale.
Our famous Bake Sale runs both days and features homemade goodies from the church’s members - cakes and pies, cookies and muffins, all available to take home, or to eat while you shop.

Parking is available (street on Friday, Village Hall lot on Saturday), and the church is easily accessible by public transportation. St. Peter’s is located across from the Library and Village Hall in downtown Skokie and is a few blocks west of the Oakton stop on the CTA Yellow Line. Entrance to the building is on Laramie Street.
St. Peter’s UCC Skokie has a reputation for supporting our local community, and our Rummage Sale is one way we do that, by offering bargain prices on all sorts of items. Proceeds also benefit not only St. Peter’s but extend to helping other local charity organizations. In the past, we have donated to Inspire Through Flowers, the Jesse Brown VA, the Niles Township Respite Center, Refugee One, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other not-for-profit organizations who benefit in dozens of ways.

Bring your family to Harrer Park from 7-8:30 pm for a family glow walk. There will be glow sticks passed out, glow mini golf activity, and more. Walk 1 mile with your family and receive a gift. Devon Ave., Elk Grove Village.
Music will be provided by six different and exciting bands sure to strike the fancy of most everyone.The audience will be treated to SK Horizon featuring Steve Koerber and Summer Kwai, Dave Rudolf and Friends, Emma’s Revolution, Nauvoo, Chicago Rock Exchange, and Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues.Crowd favorite Patti Vasquez from WCPT, AM Radio 820, is going to be the emcee.
Speaking to the group and getting people ready to finish the work leading up to the November 3rd Midterms will be Congresswoman Delia Ramirez, Deputy Mayor and Village Trustee of Hanover Park, Herb Porter, Ishaan Sirvastava, Gen Z Podcaster, Seth Moland-Kovash, Executive Director, Partners for Our Community, <a href="https://poc.news/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://poc.news/</a>, Elyse Hoffenberg, Clerk of Lyons Township, State Representative Mary Beth Canty, Nedaa Alwawi, Chief of Staff for State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid, Reverend Doctor Michael Woolf.
Donations from the tickets will fund the support given to our beneficiary this year which is Partners for Our Community (POC.)We are very proud to be supporting this wonderful organization that provides wonderful support to the immigrant and underserved communities by providing survival skills needed to navigate in a changing and complex world, removing barriers and linking individuals and families to community resources and services, bringing personal awareness of one’s potential while honoring one’s heritage, and serving as a site for continuing education, life skills training, and vocational advancement.
At the perimeter of the room will be a Democracy Fair where participants can learn about other ways to participate as community activists including information on participating in the No Kings Vote Early events that many chapters are participating in on October 17th, phone banks, canvassing opportunities, and other get out the vote activities.&nbsp; Additionally, groups may discuss how they plan to engage in activism on other subjects as well.
This event is non-partisan.
