• Oak Brook Police Use Grappler for the First Time to Stop Van in Police Pursuit on I-294 (arlingtoncardinal.com) — Oak Brook police recently used a new Grappler device on I-294 to safely stop a fleeing rental van tied to a burglary call, marking the first local deployment of this pursuit-ending tool. The stop happened late Monday night near Joliet Road with help from Villa Park police, and details on the suspects and charges are still emerging.
